Country: United States of America Organization: International Rescue Committee Closing date: 4 May 2026 Job Overview: IRC's immigration legal services program serves more than 14,000 individuals in 23 sites throughout the U.S. each year, providing accessible and critical legal representation and advice to immigrants and their families in order to acquire the highest level of immigration status available, keep families together, access their full rights, and successfully integrate in the U.S. The position supports legal practitioners (attorneys and/or Department of Justice (DOJ) accredited representatives) in representing clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and conducting community-based naturalization workshops [INCLUDE WORKSHOPS AS APPLICABLE]. Legal services focus on naturalization, adjustment of status, and family reunification Major Responsibilities: Under the supervision of a licensed or accredited legal practitioner, provide clients with information about immigration benefits available through USCIS, work with clients to gather documents, and assist clients in completing applications. Respond to inquiries from clients regarding case status and submit inquiries on case status to USCIS and/or Department of State (DOS). Process correspondence from USCIS and DOS, including notifying clients, assisting clients to prepare responses to notices or evidence requests as appropriate, and following up with relevant parties. Maintain accurate and up-to-date physical and electronic files and detailed case notes, enter required data in a timely manner, meet all case reporting requirements within established timelines and standards, and assist in the completion of statistical, narrative, and financial reports. Represent the IRC with clients, community members, and partners by receiving and returning phone calls and emails, scheduling appointments, supporting events (including group processing events), and conducting outreach for legal services. Maintain strict client confidentiality and observe all other ethical practices/obligations as outlined in IRC’s Immigration Program Policies Manual. Depending on the needs of the program and budget availability, and upon review of the Legal Services Technical Unit, legal supervisor, and Executive Director, may pursue Department of Justice accreditation by successfully completing all vital training. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural Able to work effectively in a team environment, as well as take independent initiative Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable utilizing online software and programs. Excellent communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in another language Spanish is strongly preferred. Demonstrated dedication to immigrant rights, social justice, and/or human rights based on work experience, volunteer service, or educational activities. Preferred experience & skills: Previous experience with immigration legal or social services is strongly preferred. Familiarity with immigration software and experience with data entry and management are a plus. Country: United States of America Organization: International Rescue Committee Closing date: 4 May 2026 Job Overview: The casework coordinator provides trauma-informed services to refugees and other qualified immigrants to support a positive resettlement experience and the achievement of client self-sufficiency. The coordinator also manages a team providing resettlement casework services and works closely with clients, colleagues, and external parties to develop service and/or self-sufficiency plans to meet individual client needs and preferences utilizing a broad range of financial, medical, social, vocational, and other services and resources in accordance with client eligibility and program requirements. This position reports to the program manager for resettlement. Major Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Core Service Delivery Coordinate pre-arrival case preparation, which may include case assurance, communication with US ties, and liaising with IRC’s Processing Department at Headquarters for clients. With support from the program manager, assign cases to caseworkers and ensure timely provision of core services including airport pickups, home visits, school enrollment, and other services as outlined in the R&P, APA, RTCA, MG and program guidelines. Collaborate with other departments to encourage timely internal and external referrals. Documentation, Compliance and Reporting Ensure oversight and monitoring of case files for proper file documentation, including developing appropriate forms, procedures and training for casework staff with casework supervisor. Ensure reporting requirements are met in compliance with donor and organizational requirements. Direct Client Services Maintain a reduced active caseload of clients and ensure all clients receive the full range of services mandated. Assess and monitor client progress at regular intervals to ensure progress on goals is made and designated resources are maximized, modifying initial services plans and other documents as needed. Develop local resources for clients and share contact information across programs. Staff Supervision and Other Responsibilities Oversee a team of caseworkers including daily oversight of active caseloads, delegation of work assignments, and coaching. Evaluate and report staff performance. Support the casework supervisor to cultivate a respectful, supportive, and inclusive environment for team members and clients. Carry out timely, professional interventions to ensure responsive, appropriate, and client-centered service delivery. Ensure compliance of self and team with all policies, procedures and protocols of the agency. May train and lead the activities of volunteers and interns. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field of study required. Master degree preferred. Work Experience: 3+ years of case management experience in a social services environment. Up to 130 students aged 5 – 21 from over 20 countries will participate in academic, creative arts, physical education, and other academic classes. Field trips are held on Fridays. The English Teacher will be responsible for teaching daily Parent ESOL (PESOL) and Youth ESOL (YESOL) classes at NYSA. This includes curriculum preparation to meet the needs of the current student population, including academic English and test preparation materials; preparing slide decks and activities for each class; and updating syllabi for each group as the program progresses. Major Responsibilities: Participate in mandatory school programing. Participate in instructional planning sessions, trainings, and all program meetings. Plan and lead all PESOL and YESOL classes at the program, including culturally responsive, trauma-informed lesson plans for classes of approximately 15-25 Multilingual Language Learners Submit detailed daily lesson plans, slide decks, and worksheets associated in advance of the date of instruction Administer formative and summative assessments, including content area pre-assessments of students, to inform curriculum and lesson design Collaborate with IRC Staff and teaching staff in monitoring student progress throughout the 6 weeks and assist with communications with parents about progress.
