Job Overview/Summary: Under the supervision of the HR director, The Comp & Ben manager for organizational structure, Compensation and benefits -WOS designs, develops, executes, and communicates Syria country program’s compensation and benefits guidelines, policies, and procedures. The HR Manager Of C&B will ensure the compensation in all four geographical locations we operate in remain competitive by keeping current with both sector-specific and general compensation trends and best practices to enhance IRC’s ability to attract and retain employees. The C&B Manager also works with different departments to ensure structural changes are in line with our global guidelines. Major Responsibilities: Responsible for the design and preparation of the payroll process and templates and administration of staff benefits and other monetary/non-monetary benefits Subject matter expert on current market practices and trends to ensure compensation policies, procedures, and practices are externally market competitive. Ensures country salary structure reviews are conducted in accordance with IRC’s compensation guidelines and methodology. Ensures compliance with all applicable local regulations and laws related to IRC’s compensation practices. Interprets and implements financial regulations according to the government laws, local regulations . Create /Generate annual Tax report and reconcile it against payroll records, and ensure report is submitted on time and on a monthly basis. Prepare and update the international staff Payroll Information Sheet on monthly basis and share it with finance in a timely manner including all supporting documents. Owns Syria country program job analyses and Job evaluations processes to determine appropriate salary bands and compensation levels. Updates annual salary band structure according to the organization’s need, maintains internal equity and external market competitiveness . Develop and maintain a tracking system to analyze metrics to ensure effective pay decisions and pay strategies & practices. Make recommendations for adjustments to policies and processes when appropriate. Partnering with grants & Finance teams in the development process of new proposals to ensure proper pay, benefits and bonus information are factored and taken into consideration. Coach and mentor compensation and benefits team to ensure HR performance excellence. REACH’s purpose is to promote and facilitate the development of information products that enhance the humanitarian community’s decision making and planning capacity for emergency, reconstruction and development contexts. REACH facilitates information management for aid actors through three complementary services: (a) need and situation assessments facilitated by REACH teams; (b) situation analysis using satellite imagery; (c) provision of related database and (web)-mapping facilities and expertise. IMPACT Initiatives is a humanitarian NGO, based in Geneva, Switzerland. The organisation manages several initiatives, including the REACH Initiative. The IMPACT team comprises specialists in data collection, management and analysis and GIS. IMPACT was launched at the initiative of ACTED, an international NGO whose headquarter is based in Paris and is present in thirty countries. The two organizations have a strong complementarity formalized in a global partnership, enabling IMPACT to benefit from ACTED’s operational support on its fields of intervention. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Officer to support our team in Ethiopia. Position: Sn. Data Officer Contract duration: 6 months with possibility of extension Location: Kampala/Remote with possible travel to Addis Starting Date: June 1st, 2026. COUNTRY PROFILE Since 2018, Ethiopia has witnessed an escalation in unrest including large-scale displacement, killings, and destruction of property following domestic political changes. Such unrest has exacerbated the impact of climate-related crises, including the most devastating desert locust infestation in 25 years, which has damaged crops and fostered food insecurity. Then in November 2020, conflict erupted in the Tigray region, displacing many Ethiopians, and contributing to an millions of additional people needing assistance in Amhara, Afar and Tigray regions. In August 2023, conflict in Amhara resulted in a state of emergency declaration and restricted movement for citizens across the region. All these events have severely disrupted livelihoods, affected the availability of staple market commodities, and threatened to sharply escalate humanitarian need for vulnerable populations across the country. Currently, the Ethiopia response is active in all 14 regions, addressing the needs of nearly 20 million people in need, with over 4 million people internally displaced. POSITION PROFILE The Sn. Data Officer position is based in Kampala/remote, with possible travel to Addis This role is fully dedicated to Ethiopia mission projects, providing technical support for each unit in Ethiopia: Sectoral Unit, Intersectoral Unit, and PANDA Team. Under the supervision and direct responsibility of the Data Specialist, the Senior Data Officer will support the production of information products, including dashboards, and provide supervision to national data team members. He/she will work with assessment teams and RMs to develop outputs and analysis for relevant cycles. The Upper School Math Academic Lead Teacher (ALT), in collaboration with the fellow NYSA Teachers and the Dean of Instruction, is expected to create engaging Math lessons that spark curiosity in diverse topics, develops students’ academic literacy, and meet New York State learning standards. Country: United States of America Organization: International Rescue Committee Closing date: 6 May 2026 Scope of Work: The Newcomer Youth Summer Academy (NYSA) is a six-week program that prepares newly arrived refugee youth to succeed at their grade level in the New York City public school system. Up to 130 students from ages 5 – 21 from over 20 countries will participate in academic, creative arts, physical education classes and field trips on Fridays. The IRC is seeking an Electives Teacher to create and implement classes for Upper School (Grades 6-12). Possible topics may include a film watching and critique curriculum, or other subjects as desired by the NYSA instructional leadership. Major Responsibilities: Participate in mandatory school programing. Participate in collaborative planning sessions, all staff training and program meetings. Plan a 6-week culturally- and developmentally-responsive curriculum for 6-12 grade multilingual learners. Submit daily lesson plans, slide decks, and materials weekly in advance of the date of instruction Perform formative, and post-assessments to inform planning and instruction. Serve as a focal point in the classroom for peer mentors, providing guidance and direction on how they can best support student learning and well being Lead classroom climate in accordance with Academy philosophy and protocols Engage in instructional coaching cycles and participate in scheduled meetings Record student observations and Complete the All-Staff program evaluation Review student progress and maintain student data bodies of evidence Complete all required reports on time. Plan for, incorporate, and support volunteer Peer Mentors as they support classroom instruction Substitute as needed for colleagues' classes Pending demand, provide early and/or after-care supervision to a cohort of students Complete report cards for each student Comply with all IRC policies and protocols Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred; Master’s degree in education or related field preferred Classroom teaching experience in New York City public schools or another school system strongly preferred Experience with curriculum creation strongly desired Experience in film or film education or other elective topic strongly desired Professional experience teaching social-emotional learning to youth is strongly desired Experience teaching English Language Learners/multilingual learners strongly desired Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations strongly desired Strong relationship building and classroom management skills strongly desired Highly organized, dependable, responsive, and collaborative work style Strength in cultural humility-building Ability to work independently and as part of a team Fluency in written and spoken English required. Second language proficiency in a relevant language (Arabic, Dari, Farsi, French, Fulani, Haitian Creole, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian) All hiring is contingent on passing background checks and submission of an annual physical form. If the school is located at a New York City Public School site, additional fingerprinting may be required. Working Environment***:*** NYSA occurs in a centrally located school in New York City. All applicants must be willing to relocate to the New York City area for the entirety of the Academy. Union Eligible: Compensation: (Pay Range: $27.50) Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates.
